So I'm told this is "real" Chinese food. I have to admit, it stole my heart. Some of the best food I've had in a very long time, from anywhere I've traveled.
- Everything is made to order, nothing is pre-prepared. First rule in great dining.
- The ingredients tasted as fresh as could be. Second rule...check.
- Everything was perfectly (!!) seasoned and tasted fantastic. Third rule... Check.
- They offer delicious healthy options (brown rice!) and will customize any dish because it's all made to order. Fourth and fifth rules...checked.
I ordered the Chinese eggplant, the baby bokchoy, and the hot sour skillet potatoes. I still can't believe how great everything was. And the host-server (Ellie) was great.
New favorite place in the Lehigh Valley. -

Looking for the closest Chinese Restaurant near my hotel and found this place on yelp.
Location: Corner of E Third & New Ave. I parked across the street next to the gas station its metered parking.
Ordering was pretty easy however I will soon discover it is always a good idea to verify what you order.
I wasn't looking to order a lot, so I ordered Beef Lo Mein & a small order of steamed white rice. After about a 20 minute wait, my food was ready.
Arrived back at my hotel room and unpacked my goodies I discovered my white rice was now a cheap version( no egg or veggies) fried rice. lol. However the fried rice was flavorful and would probably order again. Beef Lo Mein was average and would order that again as well.
No fortune/almond cookies in to go order. Only cheap plastic fork, napkins and a menu.
If I am in the area again, I would eat here again... for the Locals, there is room to dine in. -

Had to do a night flight from Allentown Airport to Sacramento, CA. I ordered Shang Wei Szechuan through Uber Eats. Brought the food onboard the cockpit.
About two hours into the flight, I ate the Chicken Broccoli and Szechaun Dumplings. (I was going to heat it all up in the onboard over, but was too hungry and simply chowed down.) The sauce on dumplings was spicy and great flavor, excellent appetizer. The chicken broccoli, with added spice by request was tasty too with fresh broccoli.
Overall, very good food. I would definitely order from this again or even dine in, flight schedule permitting. -

The food is delicious, a lot of traditional dishes. One of the women explained some of the dishes and recommended me some based on what I was looking for. The service was ok, two people were too busy chatting at the front desk, I had to flag them down to get my check and had to ask for more water, twice. Next time I'll just go for a take out. Food came out quick too.

Places like ShangWeiSzechuan make me look forward to visiting Bethlehem. The food was fresh, authentic, and delicious. The service was excellent. There were 6 of us, including my youngest who is in a wheelchair. We felt welcomed and had a great time. We will definitely be stopping by again.
